URB is mainly about herbs, but our name is also a reference to the urban environment that many of us find ourselves in. We can live naturally, non-toxically, and consciously even in the city. We hope that the herbal products we make assist you to that end; living fully and with health.

About the creator of URB Apothecary. Leyna.

Growing up in rural Northern California, I was perpetually digging in the mud, climbing trees, and imagining living off the land. With this penchant for natural living as kindling, it was actually a science fiction novel that truly sparked and ignited my interest in the medicinal qualities of plants. I bought every herb book I could find and was totally engrossed in the simple recipes for liver tonics, healing ointments, and cleansing teas.

I have always enjoyed making handmade gifts for Christmas, so one year, after reading about herbal healing salves I decided that was to be my gift to family, friends, and coworkers. The response these little healing salve tins received was the catalyst that started URB. I have a deep passion for natural living, eating and using herbs and whole foods instead pharmaceutical drugs to overcome most health issues.

URB Apothecary is my dream of bringing the information and application of nature's powers into the scope of people's awareness through an accessible and pleasing medium.
